Fiction: short stories

I wrote this to explore the idea of belonging, and how self-contradictory it can be. I think we can find ourselves fully in a place, fully out of it, and somewhere in between, all at the same time. Just a simple story about how we see the world, how we relate to others, and what we choose to care about. A mundane daily interaction unexpectedly turns into a power struggle.
